Summary

The book is devoted to mammals protected in Ukraine in accordance with Bern Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats. The issue includes 38 expert assessments combined in 6 chapters. First chapter is devoted to the main provisions of the Bern Convention, general characteristic of theriofauna of Ukraine, and insectivorous mammals. Next four chapters are devoted to bats, carnivores, rodents, and ungulates. Checklist of Ukraine's theriofauna is given indicating protection status of the species. Also, information on mammals experts and authors of reviews are given.
